What a night, what a show!

The night started with the smooth vocal sounds of Jason Lucas of "My Escapade" Fame. Jason bought with him silky acoustic version of his bands music, enticing the crowd with his insightful lyrics and melodious guitar playing. If you have yet to check out Jason or his band "My Escapade", check out your local guide for future gigs, it's worth a night out!

From the moment the band stepped on stage and the light show started you knew you were in for a great night! Formerly the "The Dead Abigail's" (minus the keys) the boys have come together again with a fresh name, look and sound as "Black Japan". A sound described by some as "raw rock", this was evident with tracks such as "I've changed my mind" and "Big Mouth" to name just a couple.

The overall feel of the night, was that of a musical explosion, where one was free to observe and enjoy the night or get down and boogie with band. By the look on the crowd's faces, it seems, not only were they immensely rewarded with colossal musical talent, but an impressive show as well, that put "rock 'n' roll, in your soul".

From the raw lyrics of such tracks, "Alone", "Coma", "Blood Sugar" and "I've changed my mind" to name a few, the manifestation of these combined with the harmonious instruments and vocals from lead vocalists, Carl Fidler, backing vocalists and guitarist, Glenn Moorhouse, the sleek control of bassist, Corey Gilham and the smooth flair of drummer, Randell Stafford, these guys have got themselves a musical fusion worthy of those in International stardom and "rock" fame.

The "after taste" of this show, should have you wanting more from these guys, here's hoping there's more from where this gig came from. Magic!

Lots to share in this post!

*I am working ever so slowly through my new e-course which will be happening late 2009 / early 2010. This has been has been a dream of mine for ages. I've finally had the encouragement of a certain someone, to get me started thanks geek girl!

* Many new and wonderful treats and prints will be added to my etsy store over the next month or 2, so pelase check back in for sneak peeks over the course of the month. These will include, postcards sets, cards and lots, lots, lots more!

*Also working having an Australian online store for all my aussie friends, so please check back in for upadtes on that soon!

*Lots of gigs have been happening, if you've yet to check out "Top Shelf at Irish" nights, you've been missing out. Every Wednesday night at Irish Murphy's, Launceston, you'll find a variety of original bands to with sit back and rela too, or get up and a boogie to. Either way it's a great night out and the best thing it's only a $3 cover charge and the bands are great too ;) for more info, type Top Shelf into the Facebook Search bar, when logged in.

*An exhibition is in the works for the late part of this year. Will keep you updated as much as I can about this. it will be worthwhile checking it out.

You might have noticed the lack of updating here of late. I must apologies for that. Between teaching, a trip here & there, many new project starts {& near finished, I hope soon} I've been unable to make updates here.

As I've mentioned I am working away on some new projects. I do hope to let you in on these soon, just adding some final touches. One of these projects is the updating of this blog /website. I am making my way through the coding, colour schemes, banner & many, many links & photos. In addition to these updates I am working on a section for clients to preview their proofs / images. A sample album will up for preview soon, check back again soon.
